Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku: The tribunal has set September 16 for the decision, according to Charly Boy

The well-known Nigerian comedian Charles Oputa, better known by his stage as Charly Boy, asserts that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has set September 16 as the deadline for ruling on the petitions contesting President Bola Tinubu’s election.

The Tribunal has until September 16, 2023 (which is maximum 180 days from the filing of the petitions) to rule on the petitions, although kuryaloaded is unable to establish the date with certainty.

Both Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate for the February 25 election, had applications filed seeking the Tribunal to dismiss Tinubu over a number of charges.

In a post on his official X account, Charly Boy advised Obi’s supporters, or Obidients, to prepare for the verdict.

The post’s subject line is “OBIDIENTS ARE U Ready? Peter Obi and the Labour Party’s case against Bola Tinubu, INEC, Shettima, and the APC, as well as Atiku’s case against the APC, INEC, and Tinubu in the PDP, have been scheduled for decision on September 16, 2023, according to the Presidency Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
