Labour Party presidential nominee Peter Obi has paid tribute to the late Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, a Nigerian singer.
In a message shared Tuesday on his X handle, Obi expressed his and his family’s condolences to Mohbad’s mother and extended family “over his painful demise.”
According to the ex-governor of Anambra State, he understood “how difficult it is for parents to lose a child, especially one with such a promising future as his.”
Obi has asked the government and security services to investigate what happened to Mohbad.
He instructed them to look into every possible explanation for his death.
Obi lamented that with Aloba’s passing, the country has lost “a promising talent in our growing music and entertainment industry.”
He asked God to give him peace in death and strength to grieve for his loved ones.
