Posted by Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, nicknamed Bella Shmurda, a singer, has disclosed that his mother requested him to delay his return to Nigeria after the untimely death of rapper Mohbad, a close friend and regular collaborator.
According to him, he was in Canada getting ready for his tour when he got the word that his friend had died in Nigeria.
On Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Canada, there was a memorial candlelight march for Mohbad, and Shmurda spoke to the crowd.
‘Mohbad is my brother and my dearest friend,’ he declared. Sadly, I found that he had passed away just three days after I left Nigeria.
My mother had to call and tell me I couldn’t return to Nigeria just yet. What she’s saying makes sense to me.
