In an open letter to young Nigerians, Obasanjo gave Obi his support and referred to Obi as his “mentee.”
The Patriotic Youth Front of Nigeria, PYFN, condemned the support and denounced the former President’s claimed imposition of Obi on Nigerian youths.
“Obasanjo’s hands are soiled with innocent blood, which makes him unqualified to advise the Nigerian young on whom to vote for president,” claimed the PYFN President, Maxwell Ogar, in a statement that he signed.
The support of Peter Obi by former president Olusegun Obasanjo, according to Ogar, does more harm than good for the up-and-coming national leader because there is abundant proof that anything this former civilian tyrant touches turns to dust.
As a result of his support for the OBIdient brand, Peter Obi’s presidential campaign is doomed since Obasanjo’s history of demonic evil would follow him around.
We feel it imperative to denounce former President Obasanjo for his cunning double standards and efforts to deceive Nigerians about who he really is.
Before giving teenagers advice on how to choose their leaders, Ogar encouraged the former president to atone for the innocent blood.
