Yobe’s government proclaims a holiday
The government of Yobe State has proclaimed January 9 and 10, 2023, as public holidays in honor of President Buhari’s visit.
This information is included in a circular dated January 8, 2023, and signed by Alhaji Garba Bilal, the State Head of Service.
“This is to enable all civil officials and the general public to greet President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who will be in the State on a one-day State visit as he commissions developmental projects in the State,” the speaker stated.
The circular states that all civil servants must report to work on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
It was heard that while in Yobe State, President Buhari would also officially open the recently finished Yobe International Cargo Airport.
