The revelation of Empress Njamah’s naked video has prompted the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, to call for the arrest of the popular actress’s ex-boyfriend.
The actress has been in the news for a few weeks when she claimed that her ex, George Wade, was attempting to extort money from her by having films of her in her underwear.
On January 1, 2023, New Year’s Day, George allegedly started a WhatsApp group where he posted recordings of the actress in her undies.
On social media, the nude videos are generating a great deal of controversy.
In a statement released on Thursday, the group expressed its condemnation over the leaked videos and urged security personnel to detain Wade, noting that privacy breach is a “severe act.”
This extortion attempt by a man who claimed to be Empress’s lover to tarnish her reputation and subject her to public mockery was not only illegal but also evil and unethical.
The Guild stated: “It is worthy of note that disclosing naked films and photos of a person that violate her right to privacy is a serious criminal.
The AGN stated, “We have been at the forefront of the campaign against violence against women, and we view the action of this so-called evil lover man as an act targeted at eroding her dignity and self-respect. We pledge to Empress our full support in ensuring she recovers from psychological and emotional trauma.
We request that law enforcement officers find the offender and make sure he is held accountable for breaching the right and dignity of Empress Njamah.
