Posted by Former senator Shehu Sani has compared the treatment of blacks in South Africa during the apartheid era to that of the people of Southern Kaduna under the leadership of the APC in the state during the past eight years.
The APC-led administration of Nasir El-Rufai in Southern Kaduna, he said, was the hardest phase in the history of the people under any leader in the state, and he commended them on making it through.
On Saturday in Kaduna, Sani remarked as the chairman of a party organized by supporters of Senator Sunday Katung Marshal, “I am always so passionate about the people of Southern Kaduna because the area occupies a special place not only in Kaduna state but in Nigeria as a whole.”
He praised the people for their resolve to back PDP and its candidates in every election and for standing firm in defense of their ancestors’ land no matter the circumstances.
To help Senator Sunday Katung Marshal and the other local representatives in their missions and bring his people safely from Egypt to the land of promise, he asked for prayers and support from the people.
Isa Ashiru, the PDP’s candidate for governor in the state’s 2023 election, urged Senator Sunday Katung Marshal and the other zone representatives to keep their eyes on the prize and do everything it takes to bring prosperity back to their constituents.
In his response, Senator Sunday Katung Marshal expressed gratitude to the program’s organizers and emphasized the importance of meeting the expectations of the people of the zone.
He claims, “I decided that I was going to commune with my brothers from the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly to ensure that we do an assessment of the Senatorial District to actually understand what the people really expect.” That’s what we’ve done, and we’ve put it into words; it’s all about security, and when people feel safe, they can go about their daily lives without interruption.
