After Argentina’s team was defeated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final on December 18 in Qatar, forward Kylian Mbappe of France has disclosed what he said to Argentina’s captain, Lionel Messi.
In the World Cup final a few days ago, Mbappe scored three goals in one match against Messi and Argentina.
His three goals were insufficient as Argentina defeated France 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a 120-minute match ended 3-3.
Mbappe and Messi were seen conversing on the field at Lusail Stadium following the game.
On Wednesday, Mbappe stated that he thanked club teammate Messi following Argentina’s World Cup victory after PSG defeated Strasbourg 2-1 in a French Ligue 1 match.
TyC Sports reported that Mbappe said, “I chatted with Messi after the game, and I congratulated him.”
“You have to act maturely to congratulate [the other team],” I replied, “since it was important for him, it was important for me too.”
