After his team’s 3-1 FA Cup third-round victory over Everton on Friday, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag singled out forward Marcus Rashford for praise.
When playing Everton at Old Trafford, Rashford, according to Ten Hag, shown belief and confidence.
After setting up Antony for the game’s first goal in the first half, Rashford delivered the cross that compelled Everton star Conor Coady to score an own goal early in the second half.
Then, in injury time, the England international converted a penalty to give the Red Devils the win over Frank Lampard’s team.
At his post-game press conference, Ten Hag remarked, “I think Marcus was the one who showed confidence and belief from the first minute.”
He was engaging opponents, and I believe that for the full 90 minutes, he posed a threat to the Everton defense.
Rashford has now scored 13 goals for Man United this season in all competitions.
