Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr, has been the subject of an honest statement from Portugal’s new manager Roberto Martinez.

On Monday, Martinez was officially named the new manager of Portugal to succeed Fernando Santos.

After the World Cup, he was promptly fired as manager of Belgium.

Martinez has now spoken out about Ronaldo and stated that he hasn’t yet met the players.

“Decisions must be made on the playing field. I want to get to know everyone, and I’ll start now.

“Let’s discuss,” he said, “Cristiano is on that list; he played 19 years with the national team and deserves respect.

“Tomorrow we’ll start working, getting to know all the players, and Cristiano is one of them.”
