Amusan is named the year’s top female athlete by the Confederation of African Athletics

Confederation of African Athletics has chosen Oluwatobiloba Amusan the Best Female Athlete in Africa for 2022. (CAA).

Faith Kipyegon of Kenya and Letesenbet Gidey of Ethiopia were beaten out for the prize by Amusan.

In 2022, the 25-year-old participated in 25 100-meter hurdle races and won 17 of them.

At the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, America, the athlete with dark skin created history by taking home a gold medal.

Amusan was the first African and Nigerian to accomplish the feat, and she also broke a world record in the activity.

Additionally, she was successful in reclaiming her African and Commonwealth crowns.

Amusan ended an outstanding campaign by winning the Diamond League trophy.
