Chukwunenye Nwaogu Alajemba, the governor’s senior special assistant on homeland security, has denied recent media claims that he has quit.
On Saturday, the Special Assistant who issued the denial statement expressed his regret that the report was written by a publisher in an effort to mislead Abians and cause tension between himself and his employer, Otti.
Some social media accounts claimed on Saturday morning that Alajemba had resigned as Special Assistant effective immediately, although this claim has not been confirmed.
The governor’s aide, according to the online sources, cited the governor’s supposedly dictatorial style of leadership as the reason for his resignation.
The Senior Special Assistant, however, quickly responded to the press and denied the rumors, calling them “ridiculous and fallacious,” and reiterating that Governor Alex Otti was still his superior, friend, and genuine leader.
This is completely false, and I wish to dispel any suggestion otherwise. Abia State’s governor is a true leader who has mentored me with dignity. He has served Abia State and Nigeria with unwavering zeal, patriotism, and honesty.
I’d like to make it very clear that the assertions made in these articles are completely incorrect and make no sense, and that they in no way reflect the fantastic working and personal relationship I maintain with Governor of Abia State Dr. Alex Otti.
The author of this message obviously has no life and is just out to cause trouble. Even something as obvious as the country in which I currently dwell is beyond his knowledge. So how does he know the reason I had to drop everything and come to the United States to see my out-of-country relatives?
Assuring Abians that the rumors of his resignation were an attempt to tarnish the reputations of Governor Alex Otti and himself, Alajemba advised them to dismiss the rumors.
The Senior Special Assistant continued, saying that he will soon return to Nigeria to complete the tasks ahead on behalf of the Governor and the people of Abia State.
