Bringing a midfielder back to Arsenal from a loan assignment is Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta

Midfielder Miguel Azeez’s loan to La Liga Segunda División team UD Ibiza has been terminated by Arsenal, under the management of manager Mikel Arteta.

At the beginning of the season, Azeez joined UD Ibiza. The initial terms of his contract called for him to remain with the Spanish second division team through the summer of this year.

The 20-year-old played for UD Ibiza in just 11 games, 10 of which were in the Segunda Division.

But since last November, Azeez has struggled to log consistent game time.

Due to a lack of playing time, Arsenal had to end Azeez’s loan at Portsmouth last summer.

Azeez has only played in one senior game for Arsenal, having previously played for the club’s under-18 and under-21 sides.

Miguel Azeez is no longer a player for UD Ibiza, according to a statement from the club confirming his return to Arsenal. UD Ibiza and @Arsenal have agreed to complete the loan that brought him to our club. We at UD Ibiza wish him the very best in his professional endeavors. I’m grateful, @MiguelAzeez.
