The administration and residents of Kebbi State have received condolences from President Muhammadu Buhari regarding the fatalities caused by the capsize of a boat carrying farmers.
Buhari sent his condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in the tragedy in a message released by his spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, on Friday in Abuja.
He encouraged further prayers for the those who were saved but are still receiving medical care and testing.
Buhari praised the efforts of the rescuers who spent days looking for the missing people.
However, he urged all parties to pay closer attention to the correct regulation of boat traffic, particularly in rural areas.
According to NAN, President Buhari prayed for the Almighty God to accept the souls of the deceased.
