asserted that Chelsea failure Timo Werner is what Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez most reminds him of.
Nunez may not have a strong finishing touch, but Cascarino claimed that his tremendous work ethic on the field makes up for it.
He claims that the Uruguayan player is doing flawlessly, but his lackluster finishing is holding him back.
“I believe Nunez’s unrelenting work ethic has once again been superb. Although he has to improve his finishing skills and clinicalness, his work rate last night was excellent.
He continued, “He is acting properly. Okay, it’s not that he isn’t scoring, either. However, he is doing everything correctly and positioning himself to score.
If you keep doing that, I have a strong suspicion that he will start running due of his terrible pace.
He excels at doing that. Do you know of whom I am reminded of him? Steve Werner It’s a bit like that situation where he was unable to buy a goal, but his pace was amazing and he never stopped giving it his all.
“It reminds me of Timo Werner, but there’s more to Nunez, and I really believe he’ll turn things around. I was never convinced by Timo Werner.”
Nunez has netted nine goals and registered five assists in 18 games for Liverpool since joining the Premier League giants from Benfica in the summer.
