Danny Murphy, a former player for Liverpool, has said that Joao Felix, Chelsea’s newest acquisition, is superior to three Blues players: Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, and Hakim Ziyech.
Murphy called Felix a “wonderful talent” and declared that he would prefer Felix to Havertz, Pulisic, and Ziyech.
He believes Felix will increase Chelsea’s offensive options.
On Wednesday, Chelsea announced that they had acquired Felix from Atletico Madrid on a temporary loan basis.
To sign Felix for almost £10 million, Graham Potter’s team defeated Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal.
Murphy said on talkSPORT, “If you take the financial aspect out of it for a second, the way I look at it, I would’ve Joao Felix above Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, and Kai Havertz.”
“Considering how similar Felix and Havertz are, there might be a disagreement on that point. Felix, however, will expand their options in a variety of ways.
He said, “He’ll maintain the ball, get past players, has lovely technique, is strong, and has magical potential.
