Executives from both the public and commercial sectors are meeting at the Vanguard Economic Discourse 2024 to discuss the recent economic reforms implemented by the federal government.
The leaders are currently meeting in the Civic Center on Victoria Island in Lagos, just days before the current regime’s first anniversary and the start of the reforms.
In the public sector, the team would report to the Vice President’s office, which is also in charge of the National Economic Council, the Federal Budget Office, and the Central Bank of Nigeria. The governor of Niger state, Alhaji Mohammed Bago, is among the other public officials scheduled to make remarks at the gathering.

With Chamber President Dele Oye serving as the Guest Speaker, the private sector team would be spearheaded by NACCIMA (National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture).
In addition to Mr. Bismarck Rewane, MD/CEO of Financial Derivatives Co. Limited, and Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, LCCI, other prominent figures from the business sector are expected to attend the event.
Comrade Joe Ajaero, president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), is also a panellist.
