Enyimba manager Finidi praises his team’s outstanding first-half performance in their win over El-Kanemi

Enyimba head coach George Finidi praised his players for their excellent first-half performance in their 2-0 home win over El-Kanemi Warriors on Sunday.

Emeka Obioma scored his second brace in as many outings as the People’s Elephant bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Remo Stars in midweek.

As Enyimba secured the victory with an impressive first-half display, the forward increased his season tally to four.

“It’s always ideal to score in the first half because, you know, in the Nigerian league, if you don’t score in the first half, your opponents will start employing delay tactics or everything they can to gain a result,” Finidi told Enyimbafc.net.

“However, after you score, they will come out even more. We could have won the game with more goals, but we didn’t take use of our opportunities.

“At the end of the day, we won 2-0, and I’m pleased with our performance. “We got two goals and two points.”

With 10 points from six games, the Aba giants sit third in Group A.
