Christian Eriksen, the playmaker for Manchester United, has said that he is “sorry” about Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the team.
Eriksen conceded that the team needed to go on without the 37-year-old, though.
During the World Cup, Ronaldo and United mutually decided to end their deal.
Six months before the conclusion of his contract, it put an end to his second stint at Old Trafford.
“We regret that Ronaldo isn’t involved.
“It was wonderful to have the opportunity to play with him during my career. His legacy and fame are significant at any team. Football continues.
Eriksen added, “You feel like people will forget what it was like before the next game and now our concentration is genuinely like he is not here.
Without Ronaldo, United has resumed its domestic season with victories over Burnley and Nottingham Forest.
