Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel, has opened out about his decision to promote Emperor Geezy, the founder of G-Worldwide and his previous label boss, to the position of chief executive officer at his own imprint, Flyboy Inc.
Even though he and Geezy had a falling out years ago, he decided to work together again since Geezy was among those who wanted his music brand to succeed.
The ‘Buga’ singer said that he and his former boss, Geezy, patched things up last year and that Geezy is now someone he can trust with his brand.
In the most recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, hosted by Adesope Olajide, Kizz Daniel was a guest.
He went on to say, “I know he [Emperor Geezy] wants this business to develop, and he’s one of the guys I can trust the Kizz Daniel brand with.
We’ve known each other for almost a year now. The subject [of our disagreements] was now moot. I politely asked if he could watch the label while I recorded, and he agreed. I would feel comfortable entrusting the Kizz Daniel name to him.
“He’s the type about whom I can confidently remark, ‘You know what? You have passion for this brand and true love, not necessarily me, and I know you want this brand to flourish.'”
