Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, a former special assistant to Governor Hope Uzodimma, has been detained by agents of the Imo State Police Command in response to multiple accusations made against him by those who feel wronged.
Command Public Relations Officer Mr. Henry Okoye confirmed the news in a tarse press statement and added that four other individuals, including ISAMATA President, are also in police custody on charges of complicity with Nwaneri’s actions.

Accusations of malicious damage, fraudulent activities, obtaining money under false pretence, and illegal use of government power/authority to harass, intimidate and frustrate the citizens of Imo State led to the arrest of three others, including Chinasa Nwaneri, the former governor’s aide, and ISAMATA President.
“The alleged fraudulent land acquisitions in the past four years, not only foisted bad corporate image for the Uzodimma administration, but also attracted several litigations, instituted by aggrieved individuals and communities against the government,” confided a top government appointee to Vanguard.
