FG is utilizing the ‘instrumentality of the law’ to promote hatred towards the Igbo, according to IPOB

IPOB, or the Indigenous People of Biafra, claims that the federal government is inciting violence and discrimination against the Igbo people.

IPOB alleged that the Nigerian government was using the legislation to persecute the Igbo people.

IPOB spokeswoman Emma Powerful was responding to reports of extrajudicial killings of Igbos in the Southeast.

Over 20,000 Biafran agitators, primarily Ndigbo, have reportedly been slain or proclaimed missing after being taken by Nigeria Security Forces between 2013 and 2023.

The most militarized region in the United States, according to Powerful, is the Southeast.

Powerful said in part, “The arbitrary arrest, detention, and extrajudicial murder of Biafrans, particularly Ndigbo by the Nigeria Police, Military, and DSS, using the instrumentality of their law is purely based on ethnic hatred.”

Ethnic animosity against Biafrans persisted both before and after the Biafra genocidal war, also known as the Biafra Civil War.

Because of this clear ethnic profiling and hostility, IPOB, led by our courageous leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, has begun the Biafra Self- Determination quest.

The militarization of the Southeast of Biafra land by ethnically biased security officers with the stated goal of kidnapping Ndigbo for the purposes of execution, organ harvesting, or monetary extortion is old news.

The Southeast Region is the most militarized area in all of Nigeria. The Nigerian government frequently backs violent gangs in the Southeast to provide cover for a military blockade of the area.
