Posted by Chief Joshua Ahmadu, District Head of Chawai in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
Abel Adamu, President of the Chawai Development Association (CDA), confirmed the kidnapping on Wednesday.
According to Raphael Joshua, the Public Relations Officer, Ahmadu was kidnapped by intruders who broke into his house.
Around 9:30 p.m., they stormed the traditional ruler’s dwelling in Zambina and abducted him.
Residents, according to Adamu, were working hard to ensure that the captive was released unharmed.
He stated that the event was reported to security agencies on special duty in the chiefdom.
The message urged the chiefdom’s youngsters to take communal security seriously in order to prevent attacks.
“The kids, who should be the security force, are not willing to collaborate with security forces to secure the area,” Adamu stated.
