Posted by Arsene Wenger’s return to the Emirates after four and a half years was allegedly persuaded by Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal.
On Boxing Day, Wenger watched as the Gunners overcame a goal behind to defeat West Ham 3-1.
The 73-year-old had not been inside the stadium since he quit the team in May 2018.
Arteta responded, “I have been part in the process,” when asked if he played a significant role in persuading Wenger to come back.
But it’s really about him; he needed to take that step at the right moment, and we’re hoping that when he leaves, he’ll want to spend more time with us and be around us because he has such a big impact.
The next Premier League match for Arsenal will take place on December 31 at Brighton.
