In 2023, we’ll still be responsive and responsible, said Gov. Adeleke

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has said that his administration will continue to be responsive and responsible as the state repositions itself for higher heights in 2023.

This came as he informed the people of Osun that his administration had established a solid framework for long-term governance and had, in the interest of transparency, made the state’s finances available to the general public.

In his message to the state’s inhabitants on the first day of the new year, Governor Adeleke provided this guarantee.

Adeleke stated that the repositioning of the civil service for professionalism was also ongoing and added that urgent state matters were being attended to in order to restore normalcy and bring the people together for good governance. Adeleke pledged to reform several sectors in order to stop revenue leakages and stop the diversion of state assets.

The governor also stated that his administration and other branches of the government have excellent working connections.

He explained that a consensus had been reached to prioritize the state’s interests in all of the actions he wants to take.

He stated, “We have formed an understanding to put the state’s interest at the forefront of whatever we do. The features that have been accepted by all as a way to advancement in the best interest of the state are joint work, mutual support, and effective governance.

Our administration is concentrated on carrying out its first 100 days in office program within the same month. I have been to numerous schools, medical facilities, and other public buildings. Our pre-election data have been bolstered by these checks. We are prepared to carry out our first 100 days in office program, which includes providing water, renovating schools and health facilities, repairing roads, and delivering technological advances for the digital economy.

“My good people of Osun state, our administration has a rolling plan with deliverables every 100 days, every six months, and every year, then deliverables in the years after that. A team for monitoring and assessment has also been established by me. By the end of our first 100 days in office, we’ll be convening the inaugural meeting of our “Ipade Imole” public accountability forum. The excellent people of Osun state, we will meet you and update you on our progress.

While recollecting that the state had recorded eventful developments in the last one year, he added that despite the tension, major election and transition from one political party to a different one, the state had moved gallantly and emerged stronger with the support and goodwill of the people.
