Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has stated that he “understands” why Joao Felix was sent off during their 2-1 loss to Fulham on Thursday.
Felix was only recently added to the Blues’ starting lineup at Craven Cottage after joining them on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Atletico Madrid attacker was dismissed after a vicious tackle on Kenny Tete, thus he did not even survive an hour.
It was a forward’s tackle, according to Potter. Although there was no malice in it, I can see why it was red.
“It’s another blow; right now, the blows are coming fast.
“It is doubly unfortunate for us because he was so good; you could see his quality throughout the game.”
