The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has urged South East governors to contact President Muhammadu Buhari about Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
The call came after reports that Kanu was being poisoned in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, with Ohanaeze Secretary-General Okechukwu Isiguzoro demanding the Federal Government to allow the IPOB leader unfettered access to his physicians.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo and South East governors will examine the accusations of Nnamdi Kanu’s poisoning,” Isiguzoro told kuryaloaded. The Federal Government should allow family doctors to examine Nnamdi Kanu so that Ndigbo can put an end to the inciting of bloodshed.
“The governors of the South East should immediately contact President Buhari to investigate the extent of Nnamdi Kanu’s purported illness.”
There have recently been reports that the Department of State Services, DSS, poisoned Kanu while he was in their custody.
IPOB accused DSS of murdering Kanu in secret by denying him access to doctors and proper medications.
An operator of the secret police, however, refuted the accusation, emphasizing that the IPOB leader was being cared for in detention.
