Posted by Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, the Ooni of Ife, admitted on Saturday that Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords and the most amazing God who transformed his shame into joy.
The traditional head of state said this at the Christian Association of Nigeria’s (CAN) Grand-finale of the New Year Prayer, which was held in Ile-Afewonro Ife’s Park and Enuwa Square.
Oba Ogunwusi, who led various Christian songs of praise and worship during the service, emphasized that it is a good thing to constantly praise and respect the Lord Jesus Christ.
“When I reflect on my life, I see that it is full of God’s marvels and wonders, despite all the difficulties I have endured, but today the Lord has given me victory over all of them.
“Last year, I sat down here having experienced many hardships and storms in life that I cannot explain, but praise be to God that my shame has now been transformed into joy.
“I noticed that the Lord had aided me thus far from where I had started. My understanding is that the Lord is alive. Anyone who denies the existence of God is a fool, he declared.
The traditional leader declared, “Truly, He (Jesus) is the son of God and He is the one that resides with him (Ogunwusi) on the throne,” urging Christians to adhere firmly to Jesus Christ.
