Joao Felix, a forward for Atletico Madrid, is being promptly acquired by Chelsea in a transfer agreement. The Portugal international is already traveling to London to finalize his transfer to the west London club.
To acquire Felix for the duration of the season, the Blues have made the decision to pay a hefty loan fee.
Felix will be loaned out by the Premier League powerhouses for €11 million (£9.7 million) during the January transfer window.
Another £5.3 million will be added for Felix’s wage, and it is also likely that Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, would receive a fee as part of the agreement.
The 23-year-loan old’s agreement with Chelsea is still being worked out, but negotiations have progressed to the point that Felix is now permitted to go to London.
El Chiringuito TV’s cameras captured Felix departing Atletico Madrid’s training facility on Tuesday morning for London.
In order for the player to participate against Fulham on Thursday night, Chelsea will hope to complete the player’s physical in a timely manner.
