Robert Lewandowski, a striker for Barcelona, will miss the team’s next three games after a ban was finally upheld following a failed appeal.
The appeal of Lewandowski’s three-game suspension was reviewed by the Spanish Administrative Tribunal of Sport (TAD) on Wednesday.
And based on Marca, they have chosen to sustain the judgment.
On November 8, during Barcelona’s league match against Osasuna, Lewandowski received a penalty after receiving a second yellow card and making a gesture.
Lewandowski played against Espanyol last weekend after Barca successfully appealed the suspension.
The Poland striker will now have to watch from the stands despite manager Xavi Hernandez’s claims that he anticipated him to be available for Sunday’s match against Atletico Madrid.
13 goals have been scored by Lewandowski in 15 La Liga games this year.
