Chelsea has made a new signing. Malo Gusto has discussed why he joined the Blues.
The 19-year-old arrived on Sunday but will remain on loan at Lyon for the remainder of the season.
Blues paid €35 million (£30.7 million) plus €5 million (£4.4 million) in bonuses for the defender.
Gusto completed his physical at the Blues’ training complex yesterday and signed a seven-and-a-half-year contract with the club on Sunday.
Graham Potter’s side signed Gusto to provide competition for Reece James.
“I selected Chelsea because it’s a very big club and I quite enjoy the big project, very glad to be here – I also like the city,” the right-back told the Blues’ official website.
