Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen criticized Darwin Nunez, Liverpool’s summer acquisition, claiming the Uruguayan is committing far too many errors.
The 24-year-old striker’s struggles in front of goal persist, and according to Owen, he is acting as if he is not being coached.
The South American’s time at Anfield has gotten off to a slow start as he fails to score goals.
Nunez signed with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds last summer in a club-record £85 million transfer that saw him leave Benfica.
Before moving to Anfield, he scored 48 goals in 85 games at Estadio da Luiz.
He commits so many errors. I find it hard to understand how undeveloped he is right now, Owen told Premier League Productions.
“Throughout his career, it appears that he hasn’t received much coaching. He can be well coached by Liverpool, in my opinion, and get some experience.
