Kebbi Governor and Chairman of the Palliative Committee on Subsidy Removal Dr. Nasir Idris has informed Nigerians that measures are being taken to mitigate the impact of the subsidy cut.
Idris made the promise during a Saturday meeting of the committee in Abuja.
His spokesman, Ahmed Idris, made this clear in a statement.
As a result of the committee’s deliberations, Nigerians would soon feel the positive consequences of a reduction in subsidies.
“All we need is patience, support, and cooperation from all Nigerians to enable us to achieve the set goals and objectives of establishing the committee by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Idris added.
Governors Charles Soludo of Anambra, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Hyacindu Alia of Benue, and Uba Sani of Kaduna were all present.
Also present were delegates from the Organized Labour and Civil Society Organisations.
