The husband and family of Mrs. Bolanle Raheem, who was killed by a policeman on Christmas day in Lagos, have been contacted by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and they have been comforted.
Recall that on December 25, a police officer assigned to the Ajiwe Police Division shot and killed Bolanle, a pregnant woman, in the Ajah region of the state.
Even though his aides claimed he had been on vacation since Christmas Day, when he delivered a sermon at the Aso Villa Chapel, Osinbajo visited the husband and family on December 28 to express his condolences and join them in prayer.
Nigerians from various walks of life responded to Raheem’s death on Christmas Day in diverse ways.
Osinbajo, who made the call while on vacation, also promised the deceased family that justice would be served and prayed to God for the strength to endure the loss.
According to NAN, the late Raheem belonged to the Olive Parish of the RCCG in Ikoyi, where Osinbajo served as pastor prior to his appointment as vice president in 2015.
