Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli of Nigeria’s National Assembly has urged the country’s benefactors to stick close to their families.
On Thursday, during the 60th anniversary lecture of Igboora High School in Igboora town in Oyo State, Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this statement.
Alli encouraged the crowd to “invest more on self development and community service” during her speech.
Alli explained that the school was established in 1963 because to the work of local pioneers like herself and others. Each Nigerian must do what they can to aid in the progress of their community.
“Without the strong commitment, dedication, and contributions of the citizenry, no society would develop.”
Professor Adeolu Akande, a former chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), argued that parents may give their children a better chance at a successful future by investing in them via community service and human development.
To quote Kunle Ajisebiyawo, who spoke on behalf of Akande, “There is hope for a better future with every investment on our children. When it comes to issues like poverty, instability, environmental degradation, and community growth, education is the answer.
