Peseiro, CAF, and NFF pay tribute to Pele

Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has joined the list of illustrious football figures paying tribute to Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele, a deceased Brazilian football hero.

On Thursday night, Pele passed away in his native Brazil at the age of 82.

Peseiro expressed his sorrow on the passing of the football legend on social media.

“The world lost a sports legend today. Pélé was a global hero who was more than just a football player.
King Péle, may you rest in peace, Peseiro stated on his Twitter account.
Pele’s passing was also lamented by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

We convey our sorrow for the tragic passing of Brazilian legend Edson Arantes Do Nascimento, better known as “Pele,” in football. We lament his passing along with the rest of the football community around the world, particularly the Brazilian football community. The NFF posted a message on their official Twitter account, “May his soul rest in peace.

“The football world mourns one of the greatest icons of all time,” the CAF tweeted.
Our hearts go out to Pele’s family and friends, and we offer our sympathies.
