According to the Zamfara State Police Command, its agents have freed 15 kidnap victims who were held captive by assailants on the state’s Gusau-Tsafe route.
The Command’s spokesman, SP Shehu Mohammed, revealed this to reporters on Thursday during a press conference and stated that the abduction victims had been taken on Monday.
As the team met the bandits’ on fire for operation in their caves where the victims were retrieved, the kidnappers “abandoned the victims considering the stress by the search and rescue operators of the Command,” he said.
According to kuryaloaded, there were two toddlers, seven women, and six men among the victims who were saved.
The victims were briefed by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kolo Yusuf, were examined by the police medical team, and will be returned to their families, according to the command’s spokesman.
