Graham Potter has retaliated against people who anticipate him to start winning things for Chelsea right away.

Some supporters said he was leaving Stamford Bridge after his most recent Premier League loss to Manchester City, but the Englishman has responded to those calling for his dismissal.

Potter just signed with Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel was fired by the club’s owners in September.Chelsea spent almost £280 million on new players in preparation for the 2022–23 season and now sits in 10th place in the Premier League standings, 10 points behind the top four.

He told the media on Saturday that the owners are intelligent because they are billionaires.

“Certainly smarter than I am. So they are aware of our difficulties and the path we wish to take.

“I’ve been here for four months, but international football has taken up five or six of those weeks.

“I believe Pep (Guardiola) joined Manchester City a year before they won anything, and then certainly Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp required some time,” the manager said.
