Posted by Precious Okoye, a model from Nigeria, was crowned the winner of the Miss Africa 2022 competition in Calabar, Cross River State.
Precious won the competition on Tuesday, beating out Tina Haimbala of Namibia and Poelano Mothisi of Lesotho for the top two spots.
On December 27, 2022, more than 20 contestants and numerous dignitaries from Africa and other continents attended the event.
Precious became the first Nigerian to hold the title after winning Miss Africa Calabar.
Precious thanked everyone for helping to make her dreams come true during her words, including her family, fellow competitors, organizers, and supporters.
She expressed her shock upon being named Miss Africa, saying, “I always wanted this for my modeling career. I can’t wait to give it my all to make you all proud by using the platform to share my story, inspire youngsters, and fly the flag of my nation with such proudly.
