Rio Ferdinand, a former player for Manchester United, said that he is not in a hurry to talk about how the Red Devils could win the Premier League title this season.
The Englishman said he is staying calm and will wait to talk about the title again until he sees what happens in the next two weeks.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson left United in 2013, they haven’t won the Premier League.
But Erik ten Hag has led the team into the top four, where they are now only one point behind Manchester City, whom they beat 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored the goals that helped the Red Devils win, but Rio Ferdinand wants to see more from the team before he calls them a title contender.
When asked if he thought United could compete with Arsenal and Man City for the title, he told Vibe, “I’m keeping my cool.”
“Football in the Champions League looks much better for next season.
“Let’s see what the next two weeks bring, and then maybe we can talk about the title again.”
