The newest club to express interest in Terem Moffi, a forward for Lorient, is Southampton.

Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, and Ligue 1 powerhouse Olympic Lyon are among the Premier League clubs said to be interested in the Nigerian international.

The Athletic reports that Southampton has long liked Moffi and plans to try to lure him to England in January.

The Saints are in serious need of improving their offensive after a difficult season in the English Premier League.

For his small French team, Lorient, Moffi has been a reliable goal scorer this year.

In 15 league games for Les Merlus, the 23-year-old has 10 goals.

Only Kylian Mbappe and Neymar of Paris Saint-Germain have scored more goals in Ligue 1 this year than the striker.
