Nigerian Army Major General Kelvin Aligbe, who heads up the Training and Doctrine Command, has pushed for continuous training for all commanders and soldiers.
This was announced by General Aligbe at the TRADOC North American Headquarters in Minna during the closing ceremony of the Combined Mid-Year Courses Appraisal Curriculum Harmonization Workshop Research and Development Conference 2023.
In order to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities, the Nigerian Army, he said, must continue to prioritize training.
General Aligbe stated that the gathering of Deputy Commandants of NA training was organized to improve the quality of training provided by the NA in accordance with international standards of excellence.
He went on to say that the meeting had provided a fertile setting for sharing and developing strategies to improve education. I encourage everyone here to take what they’ve learned and use it to improve the educational programs that support the Nigerian Army.
The commander praised the event’s facilitators, moderators, and discussants for contributing their knowledge, and he thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. TA Lagbaja, for authorizing the necessary logistics to ensure the event ran smoothly.
In his thanksgiving speech, Brigadier General Mbaka, the Acting Director of Training Headquarters at TRADOC for the Nigerian Army, said that the training’s five days had given the participants the chance to acquire knowledge that will help them create a high-quality curriculum for the NA’s training institutions that is in line with international best practice.
