Jamie O’Hara, a former midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, believes Chelsea will not finish in the top four of the Premier League and will not earn a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the upcoming season.
With 25 points from 16 games, Chelsea is presently holding down the ninth spot in the Premier League standings.
On the log, Manchester United is in fourth place, seven points ahead of Chelsea.
In a Sunday away Premier League match, Graham Potter’s team was unable to defeat Nottingham Forest as they were held to a 1-1 draw.
Prior to Thursday’s Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester City, O’Hara criticized the Stamford Bridge club, saying Potter’s team appeared to be extremely uninteresting.
“I don’t believe Chelsea will finish in the top four this year. O’Hara told talkSPORT, “I think they seem extremely mediocre and dull as well.
“I was not very impressed by them. They [against Nottingham Forest] were just average. They don’t appear to be planning to cut you open at all. They don’t appear to be going to hurt you, he continued.
