If Diego Simeone were to quit the LaLiga powerhouses of Spain in the near future, Atletico Madrid is said to have picked three managers to take his place.
Atletico Madrid has apparently started looking for Simeone’s replacement after learning that he will depart the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium at the end of the current season after nearly 12 years with the team.
Simeone, who oversaw Los Rojiblancos’ most prosperous period in recent memory, which featured two La Liga titles, appears destined to move on to other challenges in the summer of 2023.
As a result, Atletico Madrid will need to find a new manager. According to Fichajes, they have narrowed their search to three candidates.
Luis Enrique, a former Spain head coach who left La Roja in December following Spain’s exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is the first name on the list.
The other two candidates on the shortlist are former River Plate manager Marcelo Gallardo and former Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino.
