In order to put an end to the ongoing attacks that have claimed lives and destroyed property in the region, Engr. Michael Ayuba Auta, the Labour Party’s senatorial candidate from the Southern Kaduna Senatorial District, has suggested creating an indigenous security architecture there.

He bemoaned the fact that after years of constant attacks in the region, neither the federal nor Kaduna State governments had taken any decisive action to put a stop to the unpleasant situation.

The senatorial contender spoke to reporters in Kafanchan on Saturday and said, “It is sad that murdering of people has become the norm in Southern Kaduna without any concern that one has any right anything to take another life. Without any significant action being done by the government of the day to lessen the suffering caused to the innocent people, lives and property of unthinkable proportions have been lost as a result of numerous attacks by the people over the years.

“The string of attacks appeared to be part of yet another covert plot to scare away investors and completely destroy the area’s economic potential. To stop the horrible situation and bring Southern Kaduna back to its former splendor, something urgent had to be done.
