The UNDP has met with the Anambra ICT Agency to discuss how to expedite the state’s adoption of its ICT policy documents.
During his meeting with the Anambra ICT Agency, UNDP’s state focal person for Anambra State, Chiwetalu Okosi, discussed ways in which the two organizations may work together to see the ICT document created by the agency put into action.
Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra State, has often stressed the importance of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in delivering on his platform for the state’s residents.
He has just given the Anambra ICT Agency the responsibility of seeing this strategy through.
The agency convened the Anambra ICT Stakeholders’ Engagement Workshop at the beginning of the month, when participants contributed to the development of new ICT policies.
Briefing journalists following the meeting, Anambra ICT Agency MD/CEO Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata said the UNDP visit exemplified the type of strategic relationship his agency is seeking in its pursuit to actualize its purpose.
‘This relationship between Anambra State and the UNDP offers enormous promise for the growth and development of the state,’he declared.
