Troy Deeney defends Arteta for his on-field theatrics and contrasts him with Guardiola and two other players

Troy Deeney, a hero for Watford, has backed Mikel Arteta, the head coach of Arsenal, after he received criticism for his actions on the sidelines during his team’s 0-0 Premier League tie against Newcastle United a few days ago.

After the Gunners were denied a penalty, Arteta lost his cool on the sidelines.

The FA has also penalized Arsenal for Arteta’s actions.

The former assistant manager of Manchester City has now been defended by Deeney, who asserts that all the best coaches, including luminaries like Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, and Pep Guardiola, had the same kind of fervent commitment to the game.

“His players have told me that he trains with the same level of intensity every day. This, in my opinion, is one of the factors contributing to Arteta’s success with his team this season.

“Most of the top managers share similarities, including Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola. Even Arsene Wenger, who is thought to be one of the sport’s nicest gentlemen, was dismissed multiple times, Deeney wrote in his blog for The Sun.
