Pedri is already one of the top players in the world in his position, according to Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez.
Pedri scored the game-winning goal in Barcelona’s 8-0 triumph against Girona on Saturday, his 100th appearance for the La Liga leaders.
“Pedri is a one-of-a-kind. He assaults the spaces by reading between the lines. Add goals to that and you have one of the top midfielders in the world at the age of 20.
“Pedri needs to work on his final pass and become more courageous. But, definitely, Frankie and Gavi must develop as well,” Xavi was cited as saying by Barcauniversal.
Pedri has five goals in 18 league appearances for Barcelona this season.
After 18 games, Xavi’s team leads La Liga with 47 points.
