Micah Richards and Chris Sutton, two former Premier League players, have attacked Chelsea’s choice to borrow Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.
Wednesday saw the loan signing of Felix by Chelsea from Atletico Madrid.
But Richards thinks the 23-year-old international from Portugal won’t help Chelsea this year, and Sutton thinks the Blues are missing players like Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and N’Golo Kante.
It won’t make their troubles go away. Richards said on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club, “It is a great wonderful signing, but I think they need to back it up with a proper number nine.
This isn’t the Chelsea we’re used to seeing, so they need bodies in that door as fast as possible.
Sutton stated, “This season, they’ve essentially been winging it, and this is the problem with the Joao Felix addition right now.
I get that they miss Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and N’Golo Kante, but the fact is that Chelsea still has access to enough talented players to be doing better than they are.
