You’ve lost control, says Xavi, explaining why Barcelona and Espanyol drew 1-1

The 1-1 draw between Barcelona and Espanyol in La Liga on Saturday was attributed by Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez to referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz.

The Catalans took the lead through Marcos Alonso in the seventh minute, but Joselu’s penalty in the 73rd minute canceled out his attempt.

Lahoz issued a total of 12 yellow cards throughout the course of the contest, with each team receiving six.

In a matter of two minutes, Jordi Alba and Vinicius Souza were also dismissed, and both of them yelled at the referee.

“Lahoz distributed useless cards, which caused the game to spiral out of control.

I informed Mateu that he had lost control at the conclusion of the game. Do you believe? He responded…

“Jordi Alba claimed to me that Mateu Lahoz failed to inform him of his first yellow card.

The officials should speak. It would make things more human.
